Location : Arnold / California / United StatesOur vacation home is the entire 1,000 square foot 2nd floor and is comprised of a Master Bedroom, Second Bedroom, Bathroom, Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, and a 10 x 36 foot deck facing the lake. Our home is non-smoking. The Kitchen is fully furnished and ready for cooking & entertaining. It includes all dishes and utensils needed for preparing meals or banquets. It includes a microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, coffee maker, stove, and refrigerator. The Master Bedroom has a queen size bed, Cable TV, and VCR. The Second Bedroom has a double bed with a loft single on top. The Bathroom is a tub/shower combo. The Living Room has three recliners and a queen size hide-a-bed. It also includes Cable TV, VCR, stereo, games, and magazines. The electric fireplace is ready for ambiance. The home is heated and cooled by forced air. Lakemont Pines Lake is a man-made lake fed by mountain snows. Rocky Mountain Escape

Location : Jasper / Alberta / CanadaRocky Mountain Escape offers private, secluded log guest cabins and a variety of year-round, nature-oriented activities. The 'Escape cabins are nestled amongst the front ranges of the Canadian Rockies, adjacent to Jasper National Park. Cabins: We currently have three guest cabins, each hand-crafted log, 480 sq ft with an open design (only the bathroom is enclosed), and visually isolated in order to enhance guest privacy. Each cabin is equipped with a queen-sized bed, sofa (1 cabin) or double fold-down futon (2 cabins), a full bath (tub/shower unit with hot and cold running water and indoor plumbing!), a wood burning stove and double propane burner for complimentary coffee/tea/hot chocolate. We provide all bedding and linen, of course, and kindling and firewood is stacked on your deck for use in the stove. Meals: As we are in a relatively remote location, there is no cooking allowed in our cabins. Instead, your guide and host serves hearty, wholesome, family-style meals out of a central cook house - complete with fresh goodies baked in her wood cook stove. The cook house is a simple frame structure and may be considered the "rustic" part of the operation. Individual dietary preferences are gladly accommodated. Activities: During our non-snow months, we offer guided, interpretive day hikes, horseback riding, canoeing, whitewater rafting and fishing. Once we get a good snow base (about mid-November through mid-April), we offer cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Hiking and horseback riding may also be enjoyed as multi-day adventures. Rates: Peak season (June 1 to October 1) rates are $125 (Cdn) per adult per night, based on double occupancy. Rates include your private cabin accommodation, all meals, guided day hikes, use of the 'Escape's canoe and transportation to and from trailheads. Rates for additional adults and/or children 6 to 16 years of age are half-priced, inclusive. There is no charge for children 5 years of age and under. Off-season (Ocober 1 to June 1) rates are $100 (Cdn) per adult per night, based on double occupancy as above. We have both cross-country skis and snowshoes available for guest use (no charge) and will gladly provide transportation into the cabins if guests do not have a 4-wheel drive.

Alternatively walk a few paces to the piste and ski down to the base of la Masse and the fantastic skiing this provides. You can enjoy outstanding views of the entire Alps from Mont de la Chambre or Pointe de la Masse (elevation 2,850 m), accessible by gondala’s. Alternatively take a snowshoe hike with a guide and experience the mountains quiet side away from the pistes. Easy access to the slopes and ski school make this a hassle free location for families. The apartment is at the foot of the piste and its high altitude (1850m) makes it perfect for good skiing and good snow. The apartment is comfortable and well equipped for four people being ideal for a family. It includes a bunk bed in the entrance hall and a sofa bed in the living area. The bed can be set out as a twin or double according to preference. The bath room is off the entrance room and has a bath for soaking after a long days skiing. There is a ski/ boot locker is in the basement of the apartment block. The apartment is on the second floor of an apartment block protected by a coded entry system. A lift or stairway (if you are feeling energetic) take you to your accomodation.The living area includes a sofa bed, table and chairs. It is comfortably furnished and includes duvets, quality linen and soft towels. There is a TV/ video/DVD player with a selection of films. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, hob, oven and sink. There are utensils for cooking & eating for 4. The apartment is in a satellite base of Les Menuires called Les Bruyeres. In Les Bruyeres there are a selection of restaurants, bars, and there is a night club. Ski rental facilties and the ski pass office are a short walk away. There is also a fantastic patissierie at the entrance of the building for your morning croissants, lunch time baguettes or afternoon treats. There is a small supermarket, an open air swimming pool and small ice rink in the Les Bruyeres base, Or from the apartment take a free bus to the other resort bases of Les Menuires.
